Parish Lane Wines MERLOT 2010

Parish Lane Merlot 2010
A plump and fleshy merlot from the Great Southern region displaying a lifted spicy character with touhes of fruitcake and savoury oak. The palate is soft and smooth with a seamless oak and tannin integration.

Medium weight with dark chocolate and lush plum flavours. Nice sustained finish ideal current drinking wine. [ note by Ray Jordan]

Background:

Albany is located south west of Perth, within the Great Southern Wine Region. An ideal environment for cool-climate sustainable viticulture, synonymous with producing unique fruitful aromatic wines.

Richard and Julie Parish, proud owners of Parish Lane, produce their wines in small quantities, allowing a hands-on approach with all tasks. Hand picked fruit is aged in oak barrels for 12 months prior to bottling.

The hand crafted quality reflects the personality of the owners' established approach, and philosophy, to their vineyard, with a ‘close eye’ on quality and integrity, resulting in great tasting wines.
