2013 Bird in Hand Merlot



Merlot is a funny old beast. In Australia it has suffered from a PR crisis but the best ones are worth
latching on to and worth shouting about. This one from Adelaide Hills’ legends Bird In Hand shows just how juicy and drinkable this style can be, especially with some barbecued ribs. It shows just the right amount of plum fruit and plush texture and finishes with supple tannins.
